BMW Specific

Instead of two services/inspections, BMW actually has two main inspections, and a third, slightly smaller and basic inspection that is done earlier than the main two inspections.

Inspection 1

Inspection 1 is considered the first major inspection your BMW will undergo and is recommended every 30,000 miles. The sections of the inspection are broken down into three different categories: undercarriage, engine compartment, and body/electrical components. 

/ What's Included:

  • Undercarriage Inspection -
    • Oil change
    • Visual inspection of brakes, tire pressure, exhaust, and for any possible leaks.
  • Engine Compartment Inspection -
    • Fluid levels checked [coolant, oil, washer fluid, and brake fluid]
    • Diagnostic scan of computer systems to check for errors or malfunctions
  • Body/Electrical Inspection - 
    • Lights and other electrical components are checked [door locks, SRS airbags, battery power, and dashboard lights]
    • Safety belts, rear view mirrors, door hinges are checked for proper function

Inspection 2

Inspection 2, like with most scheduled services suggested by the manufacturer, is the larger of the two inspections and should be done every 60,000 miles.  Inspection 2 includes all the tasks performed in Inspection 1 in addition to:

  • Differential oil change
  • Fuel filter/air filter replacements

Routine Maintence

Basic oil and safety checks are recommended every 10,000 miles or two years. This maintenance service deals with routine safety and oil services like:

  • Oil changes and oil filter
  • Windshield wipers and fluid
